DIY: Shea Butter Moisturizer

Hey Curlies, here I am again with a D.I.Y homemade moisturizer for the 4c Girls.

I must admit that I was not a Shea Butter fan at all, the smell was not the best and its kinda greasy to, I had all sort of complaints about this product, but I am converted. over the past months this little mixture has tremendously helped my hair with moisture retention and growth.

Its quick and easy to make and it cost a lot less than buying a moisturizer or a twisting pomade for your hair. With this mixture You will have complete control of what you put into your hair. So I do highly recommend you try this and other Homemade products.

Oil: Jojoba, Vitamin, Wheat Germ, ,Grape Seed, Castor Oil, Rosemary.

Bare in mind the brands of these products are not important as each region in the world will have different brands. chose products that you are comfortable using

Castor oil: I got this from a coworker who actually boiled the castor seeds herself and made 100 % raw organic castor oil. smells gross and it tingles on the scalp abit

 Bowl: any size will do

Add Shea Butter to empty Bowl

Wheat Germ to Shea Butter

Continue to add other essential oils, in no particular order.

Mix all ingredients together

The picture above is the Shea Butter and essential oils  after it is mixed together. Pour in empty container. You can also blend the ingredients together it makes the Shea Butter whippy and smooth.

I use this mixture to moisturize my ends, to do Bantu knot outs, twist outs and flat twist out. It nourishes my edges, cause as you know after pregnancy my hair line all but went missing.

Let me know if this works for you as well as it works for me

See you in the next post

-XOXO Ceta
