Naturally Curly BVI meets The Ethnic Truth

I must first apologise for the late entry, I am having a bout with the Dengue Fever epidemic here in the BVI, which my whole family came down with…BOMBER…..I will tell you all about it next post. With my hectic life schedule, especially in the Christmas period I all but neglected my hair, *sighs* I have a bleached blonde base which I put a Bright Fushia or a raspberry twist rinse over.
With all that colour on my hair My hair sometimes get really dry, hence why I only co-wash (condition wash). I considered for awhile to use some kind of protective style in my hair to give it a rest, but I seriously don’t really like the whole head of cornrows and I don’t have the patience or time right now in my life to sit for 8 hours to do a braided style.

Any who, for my Munchkins birthday I brought her to my friends Celeste, she has a Hair Studio called Island Essence, here in the BVI down at Hannah’s, its a great place, I loved it at first sight, and Celeste is an absolute gem. After arriving I handed of Lil Moon to Celeste and opted to go Internet surfing, but low and behold who did  I discover works at the Salon on weekends….Shayla from Naturally Curly BVI.

These ladies are absolute Natural hair goddesses and I have been chatting with them via FB for a little while now. Shayla worked with me, as it was my first time doing corn rows on my own hair, yes first time as an adult that is, I was a little timid so I only did one side and rocked it PUNK style, with my bright pink hair I was Rock Star Chic.

I have seen Shayla at work before and I must say Lil Mama knows her stuff, she really is a walking thesaurus for Natural hair and she embodies the lifestyle…*blows kiss* I loved loved loved my hair and I am sure as soon as I feel better I will be go harassing Shayla again to do something breath taking in my hair.

Products used:
Shea Moisture – Curl Enhancing Smoothie, which smells Devine
Organic Shea Butter – this was use to soften then hairs to braid it better

So what do you think guys!!!???
